If there are any queries over your postcode location we will contact you on the telephone number and email address you provide in order to discuss this with you. If your postcode incurs a surcharge we will not dispatch goods until we have spoken with you and organised the extra payment.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not deliver anywhere off the UK mainland. Any islands off the coast of the UK mainland are not covered by our delivery service. This includes, but is not limited to the following postcodes:

The Dispatch/Delivery Process
We like to ensure your goods are delivered in good time and in good condition. Therefore once you have placed your order, we will contact you via telephone or email to arrange/confirm your delivery date. It is imperative you provide us with your best contact telephone number and email address to ensure that we are able to communicate effectively with you.
PLEASE NOTE: Items will not be delivered without us having confirming a delivery date with you via telephone or email. If we are unable to contact you, your items will not be dispatched.
For all items we aim to deliver within 5-7 working days from the date of order.
All deliveries are made Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) between the hours of 7.00am - 6.00pm.
Important Delivery Information
Delivery to Entrance Only
All items are delivered by a one man Logistics/National Courier Service. This means the delivery company can only deliver to the front door of the designated delivery address. If you reside in an apartment or a block of flats the delivery driver will deliver to the lobby of the building only as the delivery driver is not insured to enter private premises.
Assistance with Goods
We are not able to offer assistance with the positioning of items. It is the responsibility of the customer to arrange assistance once the goods have been delivered to the front door or lobby of a building.
Recycling of Items
Unfortunately, we do not offer a recycling service and we will not remove existing beds and mattresses. The recycling and removal of unwanted items is the responsibility of the customer. We advise to contact your local council to have these unwanted items collected.
Assembly of Goods
Unfortunately, we do not offer an assembly service on any item. The assembly of orders is the responsibility of the customer.
When Accepting your Delivery
Please check all items / boxes for damage. If you see, or suspect any damages, please clearly indicate this on the delivery paperwork when signing for the delivery. Mark the items on the delivery signatory paperwork as "Damaged".
Damage in Transit
If your furniture sustains minor damage during shipping or contains a manufacturer's defect you must inform our Customer Services Department within 24 hours of receiving the goods on 01952 291569 or email email@example.com. Obviously we wish to ensure you have a product that is in perfect working order. so we will arrange for any parts or replacements to be sent to you as necessary.
If any items you have ordered are missing from your delivery, you must inform our Customer Services Department within 48 hours of receiving the goods on 01952 291569 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We Strongly Recommend
Sometimes situations arise with deliveries being delayed which are beyond our control. Therefore we strongly recommend that you do not dispose of your old bed or mattress until you have received your new items and the new items have been checked for damage.
To Prevent Credit Card Fraud
thefurniturepeople.org.uk (or any of it's representatives) reserve the right to refuse or seek confirmation in the form of I.D. from the card holder, for goods to be delivered to a different address other than payment card holder's registered billing address. Please expect to be contacted by our customer services team if you enter a delivery address that is different from the billing address; this is normal practice.
